They have great follow-up and communications to make sure our pets are doing well. We have a dog (Jake) that believes the RRVC staff are his very best friends. We trust them totally with our "babies", heck, to be honest, I think they have better healthcare than I do. Thanks for everything you do, your very special to us. Posted : 9/11/2009 Comments : I was concerned about the quality of care our four legged family members would receive when we relocated to Lanesboro from St. Paul. My concerns were a waste of time. RootRiver Vet. Center provides the highest quality care our dogs and cats have ever received. The staff is excellent and genuinely concerned with our pet's health and well being. I really like that they also offer chiropractic care for animals. After my older dog is re-aligned by Dr. Linda she seems to have more energy and moves feels better. I thank all of you at RootRiver Vet Center for being outstanding and remarkable at what you do. Posted By : Sharon Dexter Posted : 9/10/2009 Comments : Max "the cat" has been a patient at RRVC for all of his 10 years. I wouldn't even think about taking him elsewhere! The knowledge, concern, and courtesy of the doctors, techs' adn office staff are unsurpassed. Max has had low back problems - weakness and pain - since he was a kitten. For several years now he has been fortunate to receive regular chiropractic treatments from Dr. Linda Sifford. These treatments have been very benefical. Recently Max fell off a high bed while playing with his toys. Nothing was broken but he was limping and was obviously in pain. Again chiropractic and cold laser were used. It was just a matter of two weeks and Max was again "shooting" his big marbles and swatting his toy mice - but on the floor and not the bed! We in this area are so fortunate to have veterinarians who keep up with the latest advancements in pet and animal care. I'll continue to spread the word that RRVC is the "Best Place To Go!" Posted By : Jo Fitzgerald Posted : 9/10/2009 Comments : We are so lucky to have the Root River Vet Center in Preston. It also serves the entire area. We have had several dogs over the years and have had excellent service in all cases. We have had our dogs checked from the time we get them, this includes a physical, the necessary immunizations and treatment for any and all problems. The doctors and staff are so friendly, compassionate and willing to help us whenever they can. It saves us so much time not to have to travel elsewhere for care. We have had several emergency situations that the well qualified vets have handled from stitches to fractures, etc they have always been available day or night. We have had dogs who were old and ill and it was very difficult to part with them, the staff was so compassionate and supportive. We even got a paw print in plaster in the mail with his name on it. It was truly a surprise and a wonderful momento. Our present dog is a special Doberman that we adopted from Paws and Claws 2 years ago. The entire group at the clinic were so good to her and she bonded with them. She has had 2 surgeries extracting abscessed teeth and cleaning. She is still on preventative antibiotics monthly for 1 week. Even with all this trauma she is happy to go back to visit them. I would never consider going to another vet facility we have the best Thank you Root River Vet Clinic and Staff. Posted By : Richard Berg Posted : 8/31/2009 Comments : I have been taking my dogs to RRVC for many years and feel that they do and have always done, an excellent job. They all truly care about their four legged patients. They remember me and always know the names of my pets. Everyone is always willing to listen and take as much time as is needed for treatment and questions. I can't imagine going anywhere else for veterinary pet care. Posted By : Roger Bradley Posted : 8/31/2009 Comments : I have been with Root River Vet since they started. I especially like the herd health program they started with us. I think they are very up to date on their vet practices. I have always been satisfied and will continue to use their services. Posted By : Ann & Cliff Johannessen Posted : 8/31/2009 Comments : We consider our four-legged friends an important part of our family; so, when we planned a move from Iowa to Southeastern Minnesota, one of our greatest concerns was finding a good veterinarian for our three dogs and two cats. On the advice of Dixie Aug, a friend and very strong animal advocate in Preston, we decided to visit the Root River Veterinary Center to see if it met our needs. We met with Dr. Linda Sifford and were immediately impressed with her approach to caring for small animals. We decided that this veterinary practice was just what we were looking for, so we introduced Dr. Linda to our menagerie. One of the things that impressed us, besides the caring manner of Dr. Linda and her staff, was the recognition that if a procedure was more complex than she felt comfortable with, there was no hesitation in referring us to a specialist or a facility with more capability than was available at RRVC. Shortly after our move here, we found we had a need for a complicated surgical removal of a large tumor from our older Labrador, Cato. We were referred to a larger facility in Rochester where the procedure was done by a veterinary surgeon with much experience in this area. In our opinion, the recognition of when to send a patient on to a better-equipped facility is an indication of the dedication of Dr. Linda and her staff to the welfare of the animals. Since we have lived in the area, we have been referred to Dermatology, Orthopedic, and Opthamology specialists as the need arose. Another thing that impresses us is the way in which Dr. Linda constantly pursues new techniques and improved methods for treating animals. This is an indication of the dedication to excellence we see at RRVC. The care our animals have received from the RRVC staff has always been excellent. The staff is always friendly and we feel that they care as much for our pets as we do. They never act as if our questions are silly or stupid, always taking the time to listen and respond in a caring manner. At the end of life, as must come to all, the compassion Dr. Linda and her staff show to us is truly sincere and we know they feel our loss in a real way. We really appreciate the paw prints they give to us as a way of remembering the lost loved ones. We consider Dr. Linda and her staff truly our friends as well as a wonderful resource for our animals, and we heartily recommend their facility to anyone who has a need for veterinary services. Posted : 8/29/2009 Comments : Over the last 10 Years that we have lived in the Lanesboro area and used RRVC they have treated 7 horses and 3 dogs. Everything from new babies to saying good bye to old friends to fixing open wounds to floating the ole horses teeth(what's left anyway). They have helped us through everything and have always treated us like family while being realistic to our needs. I would reccomend them to anyone with any animal. Thank you for all you have done and all you will do for our animals and for us. Thanks from Joel, Doreen & Shannon and of course from Ruby, Tommy, Snickers, Dilly, Shorty, Tee Jay & Connie Jo. Posted : 8/28/2009 Comments : We are summer visitors to the Preston area coming from Florida with our 4 beagles. They are part of our family and quality care is important to us. We are always impressed by the time Dr. Linda, the other doctors and the staff take to work with us on medical issues. We love the friendly staff who treat us and our "puppies", not as clients, but as friends. They are never in a hurry to get to the next client. We use a wide range of services offered - dental cleaning, yearly check-ups, vaccinations. The results from the chiropractic adjustments and laser therapy are evident in the positive changes in the dogs. It's nice when all four dogs will walk into your office with smiling faces and wagging tails. Thanks for understanding that they are precious to us and treating them as your family also. Posted : 8/21/2009 Comments : First off, Thank you to the entire staff! You are a remarkable group of caring people. For over six years since I have returned to my home area from 22 years in N.C., I have come to know and love you people. From Erin at the front desk, to Kristie, Ann, and Dr. Linda. I never would have gotten through the loss of my Golden Retriever, Nikki, if it hadn't been for all of you! Now my "animal house" has grown into 2 goldens, one Spaniel, and a BSC!(Big Sydney Cat, thanks to Dr. Linda!) You always remember each one's name when we come in. The critters all know they will be treated with loving care when they come to your office! Although we live near Austin now, we would drive any distance to receive your care! We love you all, and all your services you have provided us has been extraodinary. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!! Love, Laurie, Kaycee. Posted : 8/20/2009 Comments : Not sure where to begin with my praise of the Root River Vet Center. I have been bringing my Misc. animals to them for almost 17 years and have come to think of the Dr. Linda and the staff there as my extended family. So many things have happened over the years that show me how much they care about my pets and family. over the years Dr. Linda has come to my home to uthenize my dogs. Having her come to my home and participating in this most intimate family moment has been a gift to my family. Linda cried along with us when we held our beloved dog as he or she passed on. There was never one awkward second. It was all heart felt. Recently our older Male developed a painful case of hip dysplasia. Linda suggested we try Chiropractics. I was sceptical, but thought it worth a try. It was like a miracle cure after just one treatment. It's been many months since and our old boy is comfortable and doing great. We will continue the treatments when the need arrives again without hesitation. I have had many pets over the years and have always felt like we were treated with respect and personal care. There is a reason we've kept bringing our loved animals to Root River Vets for 17 years and will always continue to do so. I want to thank all of you for being so amazing all this time. You know how much I love our pets and I want you to know how much I have appreciated your concern and kind care and patience all these years. thank you from the bottom of my heart. love, Robbie Posted By : Buster Sifford Posted : 6/2/2009 Comments : I am so happy with my care at Root River Veterinary Center.
